End of Summer...

With the summer winding down (please let the heat break soon!) we're getting in back-to-school mode as well as fall festival mode!  What, you might ask, does a coffee shop do for those things?  Our daily routine shifts greatly during the summer - teachers and parents no longer come into town, vacations and travel - it changes our days.  I cannot say we're quieter, but during the school year, you can almost set your watch by certain customers.  We see a very large surge once the teachers report back - an influx of caffeination while they try to prepare.  We generally provide catering at all the schools for various events.  It keeps things interesting.

And now that the weather is shifting, more outdoor events are planned.  Laid Back on I-55 Truck Show in August, Bikers on the Square in September, Rocktoberfest in October, Fall Craft Fair in November, and Christmas on the Square in December - all of these are typically really good events for us since they are right out our front door.  We have lots of interesting things planned for the upcoming months and we're looking forward to sharing them with you!
