Yes, we know and no, we aren't worried
We are aware that there is another coffee establishment coming to Perryville. Our Interstate exit should continue to grow as there are not many stops along I-55 between Cape and Festus. With growth comes additional jobs and revenue for the community as a whole. These are good things. We appreciate customer loyalty but we also appreciate being part of a growing community.
Our exit is the gateway to our community. Chains and franchises with easy Interstate access lures travelers to our area. The objective is to get them to venture further to see what else Perryville has to offer. Since we opened we've seen many travelers here at our shop because they don't like chains and search for good coffee. Those people pass other places that sell coffee and look to support the small business that are the true pillars of a community.
From our early morning regulars to those heading to Minnesota from Texas "we just had to come back since we found you last trip" - we are thankful for every customer that comes through our door. The chains will have their thing we have ours which is coffee roasted each week, fresh baked pastries, and a sense of family. Top that off with a smile and love poured into every cup (and possibly David forgetting something) - it just builds the experience right?? We appreciate you, we are not worried and we are definitely #worththedrive
