Cherry Blossom Season
We're almost to the season for flowers to start emerging and the Cherry Blossoms (Sakura) won't be far behind. This year, during the month of March, we are going to celebrate Japanese Culture - from Cherry Blossom flavored drinks, Matcha, and pastries to Manga. We also want to help TG Missouri promote their free Cherryville 5K run on March 28th! Hopefully the cherry trees will be in full bloom and make it a wonderful experience.
Not familiar with the term "Manga" (MAHN-guh)? In Japanese, manga literally translates to "whimsical or impromptu pictures." These books are comics or graphic novels which are typically read right to left (backwards to English publications) and the stories are usually written in black and white. If you've heard the term "Anime" (A-nuh-may), those are shows and series which are often based on stories found in Manga.

We appreciate different cultures and things celebrated from all around the world. This month it's the Cherry Blossom Festival, next month? Who knows?!
