Back to Roasting!

Our monthly blog post has been delayed by a week because we wanted to bring you good news.

Partially quoting one of my favorite movies, "Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered," we have fought our way back to ROASTING!  Our roaster is 16 years old and its brain died.  We had to wait several weeks for a new "brain" to be built.  Only then was home office for Diedrich able to remotely log in and check to see what the error code was that had started the whole downward spiral.  It took 3 weeks and many, many phone calls to Idaho but our baby, Elksbane, is back up and running.  Since we have a new "brain" it will now be know as Elkenstein.  Let's just hope we didn't get an Abby Normal brain!

With this new brain comes lots of new software and the rebuilding of all our profiles since nothing would transfer to the new system.  We are roasting and, by the time you're reading this, our beans will be available to purchase once again!  There's a list of orders we have to fill, but it will be quite lovely to be able to sell beans again.
