Barrels aren't just for Bourbon
We've been having a ton of success with our Bourbon Barrel Aged "Double Elked" Coffee Beans. It was never meant to be a long term project but we've decided to keep it going for as long as possible. With the help from a bottle of what was in the barrel prior, we're able to refresh the bourbon in the char occasionally and keep aging beans.
The entire process has us thinking about what else we can do. We would love to hear some ideas. This barrel will remain a bourbon barrel for the purpose of aging beans, but if we had, say, another barrel... I'd love thoughts on a Rummy Elk, or Brandied Elk - a Port Finished Elk? (see a theme?) We'd like to know what customers are looking for.
